Aylmer Soccer Club faces biggest challenge: finances

Members of the Aylmer Soccer Club learned of the club’s serious short-term financial challenges at their Annual General Meeting in early December. Club president Julie Morissette told them the Club is in dire need of funds. 

“To ensure continuity of operations in the coming weeks, it is imperative that the Club succeed in securing significant funding. The funds presently at the Club’s disposal will not be sufficient to cover requirements between now and March’s receipt of funds from summer registration,” she wrote to members.

Morissette noted that the club’s deficit stems from the suspension of the Director General and technical director following accusations from former staff members of mistreatment this past summer. “This generated expenses which have had a significant impact on the Club’s reserve of funds,” added club president.
