Aylmer’s Museum of Nature collections throw open doors
The Museum of Nature on McLeod Street in Ottawa is the tip of the iceberg for the region’s nature displays. Visitors to the museum's research and collections building on 1740 Pink Road in Aylmer were treated to an Open House of the massive warehouse, October 15.
With some 14 million specimens warehoused in a facility the size of five football fields, its weekend open house was essential for any science buff or nature lover.
Apart from seeing some amazing displays, the scientists and curators who work there every day were on hand to answer questions.
