Aylmer’s Home Hardware behind schedule
Aylmer’s Home Hardware construction project is delayed. Although scheduled to open “early this summer”, signs of construction inside the Galeries Aylmer where the 10,000 square foot store will be built are non-existent.
“I have been told that the project is taking a little longer than anticipated,” a Home Hardware spokesperson told the Bulletin.
The hardware store should be built inside the Galeries Aylmer just east of the St-Hubert Rotisserie.
According to Jessica Kuepfer, Public Relations Manager for Home Hardware, the “project is moving forward and going through all the usual, necessary internal and municipal approvals. I have not been provided with the official opening date, but it is scheduled to open in 2016. I do not have other details, so I can imagine that they will be opening as closely to that time as possible, pending smooth internal and municipal approvals.”
Elsewhere in the Galeries, workers are finishing the new SAQ store in the mall’s southern parking lot. The SAQ store is scheduled to open in late June or early July.
