Aylmer native back on the practice pitch with Ottawa Fury
After an important knee operation following a number of injuries last season, Aylmer’s own Maxim Tissot is back on the pitch practicing with the Ottawa Fury Soccer Club.
“This is a first step towards a possible return. It is an important mental victory to be back in the group. However, the work continues,” stated the 27-year-old right back, who celebrated his birthday on April 13. Tissot anticipates a full return to the game some time after the Canada Day break.
A product of the Montreal Impact Academy, the 5’ 11” player is taking it slow to ensure a full recovery.
After four seasons (2013-2017) with the Montreal Impact in the Major League Soccer (MLS), logging 44 games and 5 goals, Tissot signed on to Ottawa Fury, which joined the United Soccer League (USL) in January 2018. However, he barely played last season due to his injuries. (BA)
