Aylmer man is still missing
Ian Lambert, 45, has still not been found. Mr Lambert, a member of the LGBT community, was last seen on February 16 as he was leaving a party at around 9 pm in the Plateau district of the Aylmer.
The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) is asking the public for help in locating the man.
In a press release issued on February 22, the police service stated that it had “grounds to fear for Mr Lambert’s health and safety and wishes to verify his wellbeing”.
Mr Lambert has brown hair and eyes. The last time he was seen, he was wearing a striped scarf in several colours, a toque, a brown dress coat, a backpack and a pair of jeans. He is of medium stature and is 1.88 m (6 ft., 2 in.) tall. He speaks mainly English, but is bilingual. He has a mole on the upper part of his left cheek.
On social networks, his friends express concern about his disappearance and noted that he does not answer his text messages. The SPVG wishes to make it clear that a disappearance is never made public without the consent of the family. It is not specified where Mr Lambert lives in Gatineau.
According to the SPVG, the individual does not own a vehicle. It is possible that the man is outside the region. The Gatineau police report that they are still investigating and will not release any further details at this time.
Anyone with information useful in locating Ian Lambert is asked to contact the SPVG at (819) 246-0222.
