Aylmer Food Bank packs up & moves!

The Aylmer Food Bank, long a pillar in the community, is leaving its Eardley Street location to set up in the old Co-op Santé building, 67 rue du Couvent. This move comes after a difficult year financially and is part of the organization’s plan to release the Food Bank from some of the burden it carries. Purchasing the du Couvent building was made possible by provincial aid with the purpose of keeping the Food Bank operating.

Open on Eardley until April 13, the Food Bank will move the following day and re-open on du Couvent, April 24.

According to Gérard Émond, the Food Bank’s general manager, the hours and services offered will be the same at the new location as they are now.
