LETTER
Aylmer Civitan’s “Citizen of the Year”, 2016
April 1 is more than April Fool’s Day! It has a much higher meaning this year. The Aylmer Civitan Club will be announcing, for the 39th time, the annual selection for our Aylmer Citizen of the Year Award. Last year, you will recall, we had two outstanding individuals who both deserved recognition: Messrs. Marcel Vachon and Marc Rousson. Our Citizen of the Year is chosen based on the following criteria: demonstrated qualities of good citizenship through unselfish service to the community, diversity of contributions, impact on community, and dedication and tenacity in service over a number of years. The people who are chosen are role models for us all. We hold them up to acknowledge their contributions. We have no shortage of wonderful and dedicated community and special causes people in Aylmer, so please take the time to fill out a submission for a deserving person. The presentation will be made at our Annual Steak Out Dinner Dance on April 1, 2017 at the AYDELU Centre. Please obtain your submission form and event tickets from any Civitan member or by contacting Civitans Nora Graham at 819-827-1937 – nora.jim.graham@videotron.ca or Lise Wright at 819-332-4644, lisewright@videotron.ca.
