LETTER
August 1 and 8: Wednesdays of the Great Egret at Deschênes rapids
An invitation of the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO). The purpose of this weekly outing is to observe and count Great Egrets as they return for the night to their heronry and dormitory (on Conroy Island) in the Deschênes rapids. We’ll be at the belvedere along the cycle path. Your expert Rodolphe, with your help, will ensure that nothing going on is missed. The rapids at sunset, these elegant white wading birds, and the other birds on the move, will give an impressive show for sure. An activity for all.
Rendez-vous: 6:00 pm at the Deschênes Rapids parking area (south end of Vanier Road in Aylmer). We’ll stay in place until around 8:30 pm. Your guide will be Rodolphe Dubois (819-685-9159). For detailed information about our activities (mostly open to everyone), contact the Club via our website www.coo.qc.ca.
