LETTER
All hail the Monarch!
We’re lucky to live in rural North Aylmer, on an open grassy property with neighbouring farm fields. Over the past few weeks, my wife and I have been spotting monarch butterflies! Not nearly as many as we remember from childhood, but certainly more than we’ve seen in the past several years. It seems these days we’re hit with a daily onslaught of doom and gloom – global warming, climate change, un-checked exploitation, world food shortages, political instability, species extinction… (and that doesn’t even include the barrage of divisive partisan rhetoric we’ll have to put up with for the next five weeks). So I thought it might be nice to share the peaceful flutter-bys of the pretty butterflies with the good readers of le Bulletin.
