ACTco deserves awards!
The recent performance by Aylmer Community Theater (ACT Company) was, in my opinion, award-winning! The author of this play, Neil Simon, was a multiple award-winning playwright, and this troupe of actors lived up to the caliber of his play. The actors were well matched to their characters. The dialogue was delivered by each with just the right inflections and timing.
The performers were excellent, Lilly Bianchi and Jenny Pound as the lead characters, Olive Madison and Florence Unger, George Singfield and Justin Lacroix, playing the Costazuela brothers. The remaining players were Francine d'Eça (Mickey), Barbara Graham (Renee), Mary Larose (Vera), and Mary Houle (Sylvie).
Direction by Jackie McKeown and production by Peggy Henderson and Kim Tremblay measured up to level of the acting. There were too many behind-the-scenes people to name, but they all did a marvelous job in designing and building the set, the costumes, the lighting, etc.
I attended the second of three shows, and they were full houses!
