LETTER
A very active Social Committee at 325 Square Wilfrid
Members of the Social Committee invited all co-owners and renters at 325 Square Wilfrid to participate in a Wine & Cheese event, June 17.
Celebrating the arrival of summer, we wanted to thank the residents for their participation in the activities that foster a better community life.
We also acknowledged two resident literary authors for having published their books (Murielle Tremblay : Vivre l'Extra-Ordinaire de chaque instant and Gisèle Lamontagne: PHD in the U of LIFE).
The Social Committee was formed during the winter holidays in 2015. A first evening was organized where all who attended, gathered and celebrated with holiday spirit and feasted on a shared buffet.
Donations by our local merchants (money, products and gift cards) provided us with opportunities to surprise those in attendance with door prizes.
For their part, the Decorating Committee members, with the assistance of several residents, assembled a large Christmas tree in the Main Hall and, with beautiful decorations adorning the tree, created a “Fairy Like” scene.
The Social Committee also held a St. Valentine's Party, with “Sweets & Coffee” as the main theme. These numerous social gatherings allow certain residents to overcome their shyness by joining in the activities and diversifying their daily routine, allowing them to venture out of their condo.
These events also foster greater integration among new residents.
By having these social events, residents are forming a new circle of friendship. The participants are anxiously awaiting and anticipating our next social event.
Thank you one and all.
Eileen Hogan, on behalf of Social Committee, 325 Square Wilfrid
