A unique Christmas Concert at Christ Church Aylmer
Christmas is around the corner. For the occasion, Christ Church Aylmer, the Anglican church located on 101 Symmes Street, is organizing a Christmas concert on November 25 at 3 pm. The recital is for the benefit of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and the Aylmer Food Centre.
Residents’ contributions are voluntary. $10 donations are suggested. People are also invited to give non-perishable food. Two talented musicians are going to bring emotion to the crowd. Marie-Claire Fafard-Blais (soprano) and Lisandre Sévigny Di Quinzio (piano) have music in their blood. They are releasing an album on November 16 called Noël Piano-Voix. The artists will perform a series of concerts in Gatineau, Joliette and Montreal. Composed of different music styles, the two musicians want to make the season of Christmas an unforgettable time.
Marie-Claire has been singing for a long time in Canada and Europe for multiple operas and recitals. Now living in Montreal, she did a bachelor’s degree (University of Montreal) and a master degree (University of Ottawa) in classical singing. Lisandre lives for the piano. She is the holder of a master’s degree in interpretation from the University of Montreal.
Christ Church is also hosting a Christmas bazaar, 9 am to 1 pm on November 24. Everything from jewellery, knitting, crafts, jellies and baking products are on sale.
