LETTER
A positive column
I feel like challenging us. Us, the Bulletin readers and journalists. Whether we read stories on the web or in the papers or listen to news on TV or on the radio, there always seems to be more scandals and drama than positive and stimulating news. That leaves us with the impression that everything is gloomy, leading to a general atmosphere of discouragement and sarcasm. But I think we are wrong. In fact, there is a lot of good around us.
Positive stories and stimulating projects, some quite elaborate but many very simple, are here and abroad. Mankind is often good and caring. We just have to make the effort to look a bit. So I challenge us to find and publish positive and encouraging news and stories. Each and every week. In a spot especially marked in the newspaper. Just to see where we can put our efforts and enjoy a snowballing effect of dynamic living in our community.
