A Pinochet for Venezuela? Yes!

In reply to Lawrence Steeves letter, a Pinochet for Venezuela is exactly what Venezuela needs now: a strong, uncompromising leader who can turn his nation from the yoke of socialism.  Far from disrupting their economy, any new government there has no economy to inherit, so installing a good, solid free market system would benefit everyone.  I’m not saying that Venezuela’s socialists aren’t without their uses.  Indeed, I agree with Lawrence Steeves idea to throw them all under the bus, preferably a big, fully loaded, double-decker, speeding one, then, maybe, Venezuela’s socialists could be turned into bone fertiizer to help the country’s agricultural sector.  

If there is a hard lesson to be learned from Venezuela, it is this: voting for socialism is one man, one vote, one time - it’s like voting for terminal cancer, there’s no easy end to it.
