A message from our MP

 

This fall, the STO is inviting the population of Aylmer and Hull to express themselves on the type of public transit that we want. This choice will affect our community for decades to come.

A good public transportation system is necessary for urban centres – for our economy, our youth, our quality of life, and for a sustainable environment. Additionally, federal funds are presently available for cities to modernize their public transportation. I believe that Gatineau should take advantage of these funds.

I am personally in favour of a modern, electric tramway that would ensure fast, reliable and efficient transit to and from Aylmer. Throughout the past few months, several thousand citizens expressed their support for the tramway.

I want to hear from you. This is why I encourage you to attend my next “MP Town Hall” on September 19. The town hall is for everyone – whether, like me, you use public transportation or not – to be heard and to share your point of view.
