A city councillor and an MP? 

I am a longtime reader of the Bulletin, and I wish to publish a complaint against a candidate in the federal election who is also a city councillor, a position he has not resigned from (in order to run).

Isn’t this a conflict of interest? How can a person run for a federal party and still fulfill his duties as councillor for the ward which elected him?

What kind of work ethic does this show us?

He should have had the integrity to resign before moving on to federal politics. I guess he realized he was going to lose and needed a job to get back to. Are we to assume he’s not all in?
