LETTER
A-1 Hospital staff!
These days, it seems that irresponsible entitlement is rampant, as is finger-pointing. Hopefully, that trend can and will be reversed. I would like to note the importance of consideration and kindness, two old-school virtues for interpersonal relationships, and especially as they relate to healthcare.
Recently, the Pontiac Community Hospital in Shawville has come under general negative attention in the media and, though some concerns may be valid, I would like to offer my observations, based on a visit there last week. I was there for a “not much fun” colonoscopy and was quite impressed by the respect and attention that I received from a welcoming receptionist and a very busy but attentive surgeon. Nothing to do with age. I felt comfortable and confident in what I recognized as a professional and efficient staff and environment.
Everyone working there seemed happy and collaborative.
“A-one plus!” for the Shawville hospital!
