--- 50 years ago this week: Aylmer’s new ball league formed

After playing in the DASH little league, 11 & 12 year old players had nowhere to play baseball in Aylmer. Luckily in 1971, a new 4-team league was formed for players 13-14-15 year olds.

To this day I am still thankful to the founders of this league as it kept me in ball for over 30 years.

The “Hawks” were the first team to win the league championship.
